*panic*

The Cowboy Bar Halloween party (aka Virtual Insanity) is in five three (shit, I can't count either) days' time.

I have no costume.

I thought of going as Inara, but it's harder than it sounds plus my hair's not long enough.

I thought of dressing up as a parking auntie pontianak, but Terz said it might get me beaten up by aggrieved drivers.

I do not wish to spend $80 renting a costume from any of the shops.

How?

The problem with Inara is that you basically look like racial harmony day in any Singapore school – some vague nonspecific ethnic look

The answer is clear: given your expressed horror at the way Lucas handled Episodes 1-3, there's nothing more horrifying (and apt for Halloween) for you than to come as Amidala! = )

Choose any one of her outrageous costumes. Heh

Go as River! Long boots, wild hair, floaty dress.

Or as Lara Croft - that's an easy one. Combat trousers, tight teeshirt, boots, belt with random objects dangling off it.

... a triangle. All you need is a cardboard cutter and some cardboard. Internationally recognizable, to both intelligent and retarded, you'll be able to stand out in a crowd of cultural rip-offs. Actually, this is already a rip-off. My friend Max Danger did this about 8 years back and I've always thought it was the best costume ever.

Buffy might be an idea. I just need a blonde wig, a leather jacket and a big ol' stake.
